Girls weekend

The weekend of July 16-18, my friend Rhonda flew in from Houston for a visit.  Along with another one of our friends, Irene, who now lives here in Greenwood, we went up to Lake Lure, NC for a girls weekend.  We spent the first day in Asheville, NC an went to the Biltmore Estate and ate dinner in downtown Asheville.  The next day we went for a short hike at Chimney Rock State Park to Hickory Nut Falls where part of Last of the Mohicans was filmed and we went to the top of Chimney Rock, which has a beautiful view of Lake Lure.  Next we went on a boat tour of Lake Lure, where they pointed out places they used when they filmed Dirty Dancing there.  We spent a couple hours relaxing by the pool and then had a chicks flick movie night with pizza back in our room.  On Sunday we treated ourselves to facials/massages at the spa.  It was a really great time!  It was nice to get away for a few days and was really nice to see Rhonda again.  Here are some pics from our weekend:
